Creationtide or the Season of Creation is the period in the annual church calendar, from 1st September to 4th October, dedicated to God as Creator and Sustainer of all life. This year we celebrate Creationtide with a special service from the vicarage garden.
For more information on the season of Creationtide visit the Church of England
During these strange times our schools and children are especially on our minds and in our prayers.
We wanted to offer some help so Becky, our Priest in Charge, is producing a number of videos for schools to use to help and teachers.
As more become available we will add links to them here.
St Bees Priory church is open for private prayer all day, every day.
To help with your prayers at home download this booklet of 19 Prayers in Lockdown

Thank you Mowers
The Priory graveyard and lawns are cared for by a hard working group of volunteers . Every week they mow the grass areas so people can enjoy the church grounds. It's about the same as mowing a standard football pitch. It doesn't just take one volunteer with one mower it is like a militarily exercise with 8 mowers and volunteers. A big thank you to all who help keep the grounds tidy.

900 Years Celebrations
We are celebrating 900 years of Christian Worship on the site of St Bees Priory during 2020.
Whilst our celebrations are having to change because of Covid-19 we are still excited to be able to celebrate such a long period of Christian faith in our town.
St Bees Priory and the village have a remarkable history and heritage, find out more on the St Bees Village website.
A big thank you to all who give regularly to St Bees Priory.
Due to Covid-19 we have seen a reduction in income from visitor giving and income from events.
To help with this we would really welcome new standing orders, or one-off donations.
The welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults is an absolute priority for us. Safeguarding shows God's love in action and in churches demonstrates safety and security, where abuse and mistreatment of others is not tolerated.
For more information and who to contact if you are concerned that someone you know about may be suffering harm please visit our Safeguarding page.
